Rachael Dennis, Chief Executive
Rachael joined Incommunities as its new Chief Executive in February 2021.
Rachael has extensive experience in the housing sector and previously served as Managing Director (South East Region) at Taylor Wimpey plc. She has over 20 years senior experience in social housing including working for Catalyst, one of the largest housing associations in London and the South East as their Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of Finance. Rachael has also held director roles with housing providers in the South-West.
She has an extensive track record in strategic leadership, delivering change and business improvement, strategic finance and governance. In her varied career, she has held a number of non-executive roles in housing, the NHS and arts charities. She is a qualified Accountant and is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
Kate Still, Interim Executive Director of Customer and Communities
Kate is an experienced CEO and COO who is known for her innovative and inspiring approach to transforming social organisations. She has held senior positions in the some of the largest housing associations in the country, including Sanctuary Group and Citizen, where she was Operations Director and Chief Operating Officer respectively. Kate has considerable experience supporting and leading service transformation and recently worked with specialist health and social care developer Castleoak to create its post Covid transformation strategy. Kate is in post whilst a permanent Executive Director of Customer and Communities is recruited.
Sara Sheard, Executive Director of People
Sara joined Incommunities in November 2021 as our Executive Director of People. Her directorate encompasses HR, organisational development, talent management, learning and development, communications, reward and recognition, change management and employee relations.
Sara has extensive experience in strategic HR and culture change and comes to Incommunities with a background of people and organisational change leadership in a variety of sectors from Charity to Manufacturing and Finance. Her expertise and values lie in a people-centred approach to leadership, and by her ability to combine vision with a practical understanding of change processes.
Mark Tranter, Interim Executive Director of Development
Mark is an experienced Development Director with a track record of success in development, regeneration, new business, programme delivery and sales and marketing.
He has worked in the social housing sector for over 40 years and has successfully delivered major new build growth programmes for registered providers.
Working at operational and corporate levels, Mark has developed good relationships with strategic partners, funders, local authorities, private developers and Homes England, resulting in new joint ventures and successful funding bids.
Francesco Elia, Interim Executive Director of Finance
Francesco has lots of experience in the housing sector, with over 15 years experience of senior executive roles within a range of housing associations, including one from the G15. As a professional interim,
Francesco has been involved in driving significant organisational change and operational efficiency for small, medium and large social housing providers. Francesco will be in post while the organisation undertakes the recruitment for a permanent Executive Director of Finance.
Anthony Brown, Interim Executive Director of Assets
Anthony joined us as interim Executive Director of Assets in November 2021.
He has over 25 years of experience within housing associations and specialises in providing support and guidance on strategic change, property and asset management, development and compliance.
Anthony is well versed in achieving compliance on behalf of housing associations and local authorities. This includes the auditing, overhaul and improvement of landlords’ compliance systems and governance to achieve full compliance in gas, electrics, legionella, fire and asbestos.
He has previously worked with Leeds and Yorkshire Housing Association supporting their return to G1 status through strategic asset management and strengthening their approach to compliance. Prior to this he has held roles as director of development and growth at Accent Housing Group, as MD of Coast & Country Housing’s in-house development and contracting business and led Berneslai Homes, Property and Assets team with a budget of £40 million to deliver a high performing investment and maintenance services.
